Direct Service Staff & Parents as Presenters
For HFA Live 2024, we want to bring the voices of parents and families as well as the voices of our direct service staff to the forefront.
With parents, this might be any of the following: A presentation about something you did differently because of parent feedback, a presentation about a policy or practice that acknowledges how parent feedback made a difference in how you operated, having a current advisory board or staff member who was a former parent in the program participate in the presentation, inviting a current parent to participate in the presentation – they could join you live during the session, or you could pre-record them and play their piece during your presentation.
Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and intersectionality within HFA Live:
Healthy Families America celebrates the diversity of the home visiting field as well as our Healthy Families America sites. We are committed to creating a conference which represents this diversity and generates thoughtful and reflective conversations about our work in an equitable and inclusive way. Please pay special attention to the questions which are connected to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The answers to these questions will be heavily weighted in our final selections.
