Phyllis Medrano

Network Support Coordinator

Phyllis Medrano began working at Prevent Child Abuse America, in the chapter services department, in July 1995. After encouraging the network to embrace email as a viable tool for sharing information between sites, she was able to discontinue the use of monthly bulk mailings and share information via email and the internet instead.  Phyllis also coordinated annual chapter executive director meetings through 1999, kept up-to-date records for the network and assisted the chapter network director at the national office.

Switching over to Healthy Families America as the needs of the network grew, Phyllis has worked primarily in the training department, helping in all aspects of creating and maintaining a comprehensive schedule of training across the US and its territories. She also helps to maintain accurate financial records, invoicing HFA sites for annual fees, training, and accreditation site visits.

Phyllis lives in Sterling, Colorado, with her adult daughter, Sadie, and a pack of elderly dogs. She enjoys spending time with Sadie and the dogs and babysitting for her great-granddaughter.
