HFA LIVE Testimonials

HFA LIVE Attendee

[I am] leaving the conference feeling more proud of the work we do and how we all are making the difference.

HFA LIVE Attendee

I truly felt like I was walking into a conference arena when I logged in. It was AMAZING!!

HFA LIVE Attendee

I loved all the information that I received during the virtual sessions. There were many different takeaways that I can’t put it all in words. I do know that I wouldn’t get to attend if it wasn’t virtual.

Call for Proposals

The call for proposals for HFA Live: Weaving our Stories is open from January 12, 2026 through March 6, 2026!

Healthy Families America is seeking break-out sessions that lift up parent voice and the perspectives of direct service staff, that share innovations and lessons learned, and that will inform and activate our network of 600 sites across the country.  And presenting at HFA Live is the best way to attend the conference for FREE!

Complete the submission process below (in English or Spanish) by March 6th and consider joining us at our proposal-support open office hours in February (register for these in the HFA community)!

A variety of backgrounds

Whether you are a state leader, a trainer, a home visitor, an HFA parent or former HFA parent, a Community Advisory Board member, a researcher, a volunteer, a supervisor or a program manager, you have something to share at HFA Live. Your expertise is valuable and we can’t wait to hear what you have planned!

We are committed to lifting up the voices of HFA Parents at HFA Live

A presentation about something you did differently because of parent feedback
A presentation about a policy or practice that acknowledges how parent feedback made a difference in how you operated,
Inviting a current parent to participate in the presentation (live or pre-recorded)
HFA Parents who participate in a breakout session will receive a $50 gift card (up to 2 per presentation)

We want break out sessions in Spanish!

The HFA Network includes hundreds of staff who do their work each day in Spanish, and we know that a learning about your work in the same language you are doing it is the best way to develop and grow. If you speak Spanish, we encourage you to consider submitting a proposal for a session that will be facilitated in Spanish!

We are here to support you in developing your proposal!

Our HFA national office team has set up four open office hours for those who are thinking about submitting a proposal. Join one or all of these sessions to get some hands-on support (and cheerleading) from our team to ensure your proposal shines!
Register now in the HFA Community!

Submit your proposal here

If you would prefer to submit your proposal in Spanish, scroll down for the Spanish version of this form.

Parent Voice and Direct Service Staff

For HFA Live 2026: Weaving our Stories, we want to bring the voices of parents and families as well as the voices of our direct service staff to the forefront. With parents, this might be any of the following: A presentation about something you did differently because of parent feedback, a presentation about a policy or practice that acknowledges how parent feedback made a difference in how you operated, having a current advisory board or staff member who was a former parent in the program participate in the presentation, inviting a current parent to participate in the presentation - they could join you live during the session, or you could pre-record them and play their piece during your presentation. The HFA National Office will give a $50 Visa gift card to each parent who presents live with you or with a pre-recorded component in your presentation (up to 2 parents per presentation).
Will your presentation include...(check all that apply)
If your answer above was "neither", please pause and consider if it would be possible to adjust your presentation to include this. If you need help, reach out to us!

Presentation Details and Description

Intended Audience(s)
This presentation will be facilitated in
If you've presented on this topic previously, it would be helpful for us to know about that. While sometimes it is important to re-share messages/presentations, we want to make sure to have new content people have not seen before also.

Presenter Commitments

In my presentation, I commit to using family-centered language and to referring to families as families, parents, participants, or Mom, Dad, Grandma, etc. I will avoid using terms like "client" and will avoid referring to people with an acronym (like "MOB or "FOB"). Labels take away from someone’s humanness and convey a power imbalance rather than a partnership.
In my presentation, I commit to speaking as if HFA families and parents are in the room with me (because they probably will be). I will refrain from using "us" vs "them" language. We are all HFA.
