Guiding Questions 1) Have you communicated with your state Medicaid administrator and familiarized yourself with the state Medicaid plan? Is your liaison willing to spend time pursuing Medicaid resources on your behalf? 2) Is home visitation an eligible service under your state plan and if not what process is needed to make it one (amendments to legislation, formal review process through federal liaison, etc.)? 3) How high is your state's federal matching rate and which health care systems administer Medicaid in your state? 4) Do you have adequate staffing to address administrative components of Medicaid processing? 5) What mechanism do you have in place to capture the Medicaid eligible population served by your program?
