Guiding Questions 1) Letter-writing campaigns work at more than one level. Do you have both a detailed letter from an executive director/ board president, and a more general mass mail letter prepared for use when needed? 2) To begin your letter-writing campaign, have you: Identified key decision makers to be targeted? Prepared for your grassroots an action alert with a sample letter attached? 3) Is your letter: concise, with the purpose clearly stated in the first paragraph? Is the tone constructive? Is there flexibility for the writer to supplement his/her personal perspective?
