Healthy Families Pinellas uses a two-tiered approach for FSWs. First, we have a FSW I position. This has a base rate of pay of $18,000. Next, we have a FSW II position. These positions are limited to FSWs already working in the program. Therefore, we would not hire someone off the street and place them into a FSW II position. The FSW II position is an opportunity for existing FSWs who have:

  • been with HF for at least 24 months
  • are meeting all performance standards
  • must be recommended by the supervisor
  • do not have any disciplinary actions during the past 24 months

The main differences in the FSW I and FSW II positions are that FSW IIs take on additional duties: mentoring new staff, perform inventory of pantry, involved in training program, involved in making community presentations, facilitation of support group(s), acts as team leader in absence of field supervisor, etc.
